Jesus Aspiration (Traditional)

These three short aspirations to Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are among the best-known in the Catholic tradition and were once commonly taught to children and printed in every prayer book. Invoking the Holy Family together is especially fitting because St. Joseph is the patron of a happy death, since by tradition he died in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
The first aspiration gives heart and soul to the Holy Family; the second and third ask their help at the hour of death. Pray them often through the day, before sleep, when visiting the sick, and in times of danger. Many Catholics say them as a simple daily preparation for a peaceful and holy death.
The Prayer
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, assist me in my last agony. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you.
