Prayer for All Saints Day

On November 1 the Church celebrates the Solemnity of All Saints, honoring all who share God's glory in heaven, both the canonized saints and the countless holy men and women known to God alone. The prayer given here is the traditional collect of the feast, which rejoices that we may honor the merits of all the saints in one celebration and asks that, as our intercessors are multiplied, God will pour out His mercy on us more abundantly.
Pray it on All Saints Day, at Mass or at home, and during the days that lead into All Souls on November 2. It is a good occasion to learn about your patron saint, to ask the intercession of holy family members who have gone before you, and to remember that every Christian is called to be a saint.
The Prayer
Almighty and everlasting God, Who hast granted us to venerate the merits of all Thy Saints in one solemnity: we beseech Thee that, as our intercessors are multiplied, Thou wouldst bestow upon us the desired abundance of Thy mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
