Chaplet of Divine Mercy (Structure & Link)

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a devotion prayed on Rosary beads, asking God’s mercy for ourselves and for the whole world. It is especially associated with the hour of mercy and with trust in Jesus.

This post gives only a brief structural overview so you can learn the pattern of the beads. For the prayer texts themselves, please use an authorized source such as the USCCB page linked below—we do not reproduce copyrighted Diary material here.

How the Chaplet is structured

On ordinary Rosary beads: begin with the Sign of the Cross; pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and the Apostles’ Creed. On the large beads, pray the prayer to the Eternal Father. On the ten small beads of each decade, pray the prayer for mercy for us and for the whole world. After five decades, conclude with the thrice-repeated closing invocation.
